In Your Fathers Arms

My daughter-in-law posted a picture of my son playing with his daughter on social media the other day. Zac was playing airplane with Georgia, and you can tell she is squealing with delight by her expression in the picture. The moment I contemplated this picture, I saw my son and granddaughter as God holding me and never dropping me in the dangerous moments of my life. Now I didn’t realize I was in danger; I was squealing with delight. God saw my precarious situation, and He held me tight. When you are in your Father’s arms, you have no fear of falling or failure; Daddy’s got you.

We are always safe in our heavenly Father’s arms. One of my favorite verses is in Hebrews 13: 5b, “I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not. No, I will not. I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down, relax My hold on you. Assuredly not!” (AMP)

Beloved, God has us and is holding us tight. We should have no fear of the future or failure because God loves us and will keep us, and nothing can separate us from our heavenly Father’s love. The Apostle Paul expounds on this in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NIV) God loves us, protects us, and holds us close to Him for all eternity.

We often get caught up in our worldly pursuits as we grow, and we forget how much God loves us. We forget that God desires us to have abundantly more than we can ask, think, or imagine. We forget that if God is for us – who can be against us. In our adult moments, we begin to doubt; we lose that childlike faith.

Georgia, I pray that you always feel the safety and security of your Heavenly Father as you do in your earthly Daddy’s arms. When you are sitting on Daddy’s lap, I pray that you feel the love and comfort of God Almighty. When you are soaring high in the sky, I pray that you feel close to the heart of the Father. Be fearless in your pursuit of what God has for you; Don’t ever worry, baby girl, “daddy’s got you!”
